夢田 Meng Tian (Field for Dreams)

I fell in love with this song. Really. Not only because of the melody. The duets were arranged very, very wonderful. Perfect combination of Pan Yue Yun and Qi Yu. I just need one more person to accompany me singing this song on karaoke next time. Haha.

According to the lyrics, this song is not about Fields. But actually, it's about our lives. What will we do with our lives?
His life, her life, their lives, our lives,
is like an empty field that we have to fill. Fill with something that we love. If we just let the life goes on, then what will we do with our passion? We only live once. So cherish our lives, and fill it with something that we're happy to do to. Don't waste our valuable life.

The lyricist, 三毛 San Mao, often make poems, and some of the poems were made into songs. One of the songs we know are 橄欖樹 Gan Lan Shu (Olive Tree). That song is one of the best songs. That song was banned before 1987s since people misunderstands the lyrics. Anyway, lucky that this song was not one of the banned songs that time.
